With the current dollar/pound rate (Jan 07) things are quite cheap and very easy to get delivered. Beware though you can be due for a VAT payment on delivery in UK.

Also remember frequencies are different in the US as is there mains voltage, but there are some great items available over there which you will not find in shops over here.

Beware of buying items made in Europe as they tend to be more expensive in the US. Some items however are only available in US. but you can arrange for a US supplier to have it shipped direct to UK. thus saving him and yourself shipping costs.
