Indoor flying 30th December 2006

Indoor flying 30th December 2006

The weather outside again dreadfull, wet windy I doubt anybody flew at the strip.

At Chosen Hill a dozen turned up to fly and about the same came to watch.

Quite a few new models, quite a few Christmas presents around.

Paul G. continued his theme of totally impractical indoor models, this time a delta, the “Super Fly E” from Flying Wings or "holy cow" as it is painted like the backside of a Friesian cow. It actually flew well being bigger and lighter than his previouse attemts it actual turned in a good performance.

Clive has also had a "bovine" experience with his interpretation of an IFO "beefed" up some what it actual flew this time, watch for part three.

Three little 9 gram Infra red heli’s appeared, plus a couple of mysterious flying saucers, a bit wasted in the hall as one can fly them while watching telly at home.

John Cook managed several flights with his wattage old timer.

I had a new little biplane on it's first outing, see model section for full details.

Most had to stop flying when suitable props ran out, may be Clive could bring even more next time. GWS 8 X 4.7 seems to be most popular.

My photos a thin this time due problem with camera, long delay between pressing button and the shutter working meant many picks of just walls ceiling & floors.
